About Jenn

Born in Quebec, Canada and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Jenn Themelis has always had a lot to say. Her passion for performance was sparked in the second grade when she won the coveted role of "Flo" in a play about chickens who lose their eggs. She spent her summers with her grandparents in Montreal, where she got to admire her mother's childhood friend, a French-Canadian soap opera actress. These experiences led her to adopt a stubbornly steadfast attitude that she was "meant" to be an actress.

Jenn has always been drawn to comedy, even naming her childhood cat "Toonces" after the famous Saturday Night Live character. Throughout high school she was a self-described drama geek, acting in several school productions.

In 2001, Jenn attended the University of Maryland at College Park . She studied theatre and classical mythology as a student, and was an enthusiastic member of UMD's original sketch comedy group, Sketchup. During her summers out of school she paid the bills as an actress and stuntwoman for Six Flags America in Largo, MD. If you visited the park between 2003 and 2005 you may have seen her in the Batman Thrill Spectacular or the Wild West Stunt Show. After college, Jenn spent a year in Baltimore where she got the opportunity to work with up-and-coming director Brian Morrison on his first feature, "One Down."

Jenn then moved to New York City to further pursue her dream and try her hand at standup comedy for the first time. She loved the rush of directly confronting her audience, and standup soon became another part of her ever expanding repertoire. She got involved with Barely Political the internet company responsible for "Obama Girl" phenemena in Spring 2007, and you can spot her in the famous viral video wrestling a shirt from the Obama Girl herself.

You can next see Jenn in the "Blow My Mind" music video for rockers The Cheaters.
